Biography

The deceased came from a medical family in Ireland. He departed London, aged 21 years, on the "Port Caroline", arriving in Australia around 21 April 1890. He was a chemist in Moree, New South Wales, between 1898 and 1900 and had moved to South Australia by 1904, where he married - only to die of malaria, coma and cardiac syncope in Davyhurst three months later. His death was certified in writing by THomas I McKell, M.D., medical attendant, Mulwarrie. He was buried by Joseph Hart. The deceased had lived in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia for about 12 years before arriving in Western Australia.
