Biography

In 1895, Christen Larsen Knudsen, bootmaker of Horsham, was filed for insolvency in Victoria due to Depreciation in value of land, falling off in business, sickness, and pressure of creditors. He had Liabilities of £392 19s. 8d.; assets of £399 4s. 8d.; and a surplus of just £6 5s. His wife Emma died 1882 in Victoria.

Mr Knudsen was naturalised in Australia on 24 June 1870, when his address at that time was Pleasant Creek, near Stawell, Victoria.  He was aged 30 years at the time.

The deceased is buried in the Methodist portion of the cemetery, plot number 15A
