Biography

Witnesses present at his burial were NH Blevins and George Voysey (son, George Henry Voysey). His death was certified in writing by George Voysey (son) and NH Blevins, miners, of Dingo Creek. In May 1896, a notice of "MISSING FRIENDS" appeared in the Coolgardie Mining Review. The notice was inserted by a W VOYSEY, of Shannon, Wellington, New Zealand, who was asking for the known whereabouts of George VOYSEY, miner, and George Henry VOYSEY (son), who stated that the pair "...Last wrote from Lake Darlot about 12 months ago. In Kumara Times of 24th December, 1895, reported to have been seen by Mr Pearson or Mr Barrowman." It is not known what relationship W Voysey had to the deceased. George and Bridget Voysey's first born child, George Henry, was born in New Zealand. Details of the other four children are not known.
