Biography

Charlotte and William were married at Northam in 1896 (Marriage Registration 510/1896, Northam). Their children were Victor William born 1895 (Birth Registration 2253/1895, Northam); Frederick born 1901, Fremantle, died 1901; George Henry born 1903 Fremantle (Birth Registration 2436/1903, Fremantle); Eva Mary born 1905 (Birth Registration 3343/1905, Geraldton); Jack born 1906; Avon Mortlock born 1910 at Northam; Queen (Queenie) Victoria Maud born 1912; Mavis Emily Sarah born 1914 and possibly another daughter. William Brown was a twenty-four year old railway carriage examiner at Northam when he married Charlotte, a 19 year old from Jennapullin. William died on 12 December 1930 at Nokanning. Charlotte died of a cerebral haemorrhage on 19 August 1948 in Royal Perth Hospital and is buried in Karrakatta Cemetery.
