Biography

Catherine McCAGH and Thomas WILTON were married at Greenough in 1886 (Marriage Registration 6349/1886).  Catherine was Thomas' second wife.  Other children from this marriage were: Michael Able born 1887 at Greenough (Birth Registration 829/1887); Catherine Maud born 15 November 1888 at Greenough (Birth Registration 1384/1888); Albert Joseph born 1890 at Greenough (Birth Registration 371/1890) ; Martin Adolphus born 11 May 1891 at Greenough (Birth Registration 761/1891); John born 1893 at Greenough (Birth Registration 307/1893); Joseph Vernon born 1894 in the Victoria District (Birth Registration 397/1894), died at Peak Hill in 1898, aged 4 years (Death Registration 1665/1898); Mary; Emily Catherine born at Peak Hill 13 May 1898 (Birth Registration 2810/1898), died aged 16 at Geraldton 1 August 1914 (Death Registration 2900054/1914).

Thomas Fishpool Wilton was a descendant of Mary Marklove (nee Fishpool) and John Wilton, who arrived in the Colony on 13 January 1853 aboard the Travancore and settled in Greenough.

Thomas, died in Geraldton in 1934, aged 87 years (Death Registration 2900006/1934, Geraldton).  His wife, Catherine, pre-deceased him when she died at Peak Hill in 1898 (Death Registration 1664/1898).
