The deceased, with his brothers George, William and Frank, came to Wiluna in 1911 and had been prospecting on the various fields of the district ever
since. The four brothers did much good work at Diorite, Cole's Find and Mt. Vernon and were greatly responsible for the development of these fields.
Barney was well known and popular throughout the district, and his many kind hearted and open handed actions won him many friends.
Before coming to Wiluna, he had spent some years in Lawlers.
The remains were interred in Plot number 175 of the Agnostic portion of the Wiluna cemetery on Tuesday, in the presence of a large concourse of "old timers."
