His children had a memorial erected on his grave which commemorates his children and his friend David Simpson.
Little Raymond had an unfortunate fall off the verandah. He cried a lot, developing whooping cough and meningitis, and although his parents did everything possible for him, which included driving 100 miles to Onslow and back for help, he died within a few days. He was buried by his father. Witnesses present at the burial were L & C Joyce and J Griev.
Buried by George Asplin. Witnesses present at the burial were Thomas Kempton and George Alderson. His death was certified in writing by Onslow Clark, Onslow. He died of a probably fracture of the skull caused from falling down a well.
