Biography

Acording to Roy Wilson of Burke’s, Halls Creek, Charles Darcy died from a fall down a well at Goat Yard, on Sophie Downs. He was apparently using a surcingle from a saddle as a seat to be lowered down the well, but the leather strap failed, causing him to fall to his death. Outback Grave Markers were taken to his grave site at Goat Yard by Nev Dahl in August 2016 and a plaque was installed. The grave is well marked by a pile of stones at Goat Yard.
