Biography

The deceased is buried in the Church of England portion of the cemetery, plot number 11. The child's parents were married at Black Range in 1909 (Marriage Reg.No. 7/1909, Black Range). The deceased was the first of their children. Other children were: William Alfred, born 20 March 1911 (Birth Reg. No.11/1911, Black Range), Albert George born 1911 in Subiaco (Birth Reg.No. 124/1913, Subiaco); Ellen Harriet born 17 April 1915 (Birth Reg.No 770/1915, :Perth). In march 1912, Frederick was before the courts under the Bankruptcy Act over the purchase of a sulky and cart on four months terms, followed shortly afterwards by the purchase of another sulky. Frederick Nash Colson was a sleeper-cutter in Greenbushes and a former dairyman in Sandstone. The couple died in Alice Springs; Frederick in 1957 and Elsie in 1981.
