Biography

A miner who died in a fall of earth at the "North Star" gold mine at Malcolm. It appears that some of the ground came away suddenly, and that 2cwt of stuff fell on the man, who was dead before he could be extracted from the debris. He was described as being "a man well advanced in life". Two of his sons were engaged as engine drivers on the mines.
