Cause of Death: Thirst

Papers found with the skeleton discovered on the Avondale Run in February 1886 identify him as William Murray, who left Farina six years before on horseback for Mount Lyndhurst. Not having turned up there, a search party went out but failed to find him. He came from Moolooloo to the place where he was found. The Police Mortuary Report of 12th August 1886, Page 343a stated that the deceased “Died of Thirst – No inquest”.
