Biography

Dominic Taverini died suddenly on the plat at the Sand Queen mine, No. 2 level. While the other miners were at their meal break, Dominic came along the level to the plat to get a drink of water. Constable Weaver was in Comet Vale at the time and took charge. He reported it to the Coroner (Mr. Gibbons), of Menzies, who ordered that a post-mortem examination be held which proved that the death was due to heart failure.
