Known as Charles Woodman.
The death was certified in writing by L. Woodman, wife of the deceased, Comet Vale. The deceased had lived in Victoria for 30 years.
At the Inquest held at Comet Vale on 5 December 1916, before D. Meagher, Esq., J.P., Acting Coroner, the verdict of the jury was that death was caused "by a gun shot wound self inflicted, there being no evidence to show the state of the deceased's mind when he committed the act."
