Biography

The child's parents were married in 1906 (Marriage Reg.No. 14/1906, Murchison). His mother was born in Victoria and his father in South Australia in 1866. The couple had just the one child. Samuel went on to Cue where he was associated with the Murchison Times newspaper in a literary capacity. He was a staunch supporter of all activities in the Murchison and at one time occupied the position of Chairman of the Cue District Road Board and Vice-Chairman of the Cue District Hospital Board. He had a love of hunting and took an active interest in the Racing Club as well as the mining activities through the Murchison. He passed away in 1934 after a short illness. The deceased child is buried in plot number 1 in the Church of England portion of the cemetery.
