The deceased had been in indifferent health for some time past but it was not thought that the end was so near.

For six years he had held the position of manager for Mr. Richard Mahony, storekeeper, and during that time, won the unbounded confidence and respect of ail, both as a business man and a citizen.

Mr Turney is buried in the Church of England portion of the cemetery.
