Biography

The child had been suffering from marasmus and whooping cough for four weeks prior to her death.

The child's father, Samuel Pruden Watson Doe, was born 28 November 1861 in Woodstock, Paget, Bermuda. By 1900 he had migrated to Australia and married May Jane Gertrude Miller at Broken Hill, New South Wales, in 1900 (Marriage Registration 966/1900, Broken Hill). She was born in 1875 and the couple began their family of six girls and three boys, of which Margaret Kennedy was the fifth child in the family. Her siblings were Thelma Maud born Tampa 1900 (Birth Registration 1568/1901); George Alphonsus born 1903; Joseph William Stanley born Tampa 1906 (Birth Registration 138/1906, North Coolgardie); Mary Miller born Tampa 1908 (Birth Registration 44/1908, North Coolgardie); Maud Josephine  born Kookynie 1912 (Birth Registration 20/1912, North Coolgardie); Arthur Francis born 1915; Jeanne Elizabeth Marie born Victoria Park 1919 (Birth Registration 511/1919).

Samuel died 30 June 1944 at Pinnaroo, South Australia, his wife on 29 November 1958 at Rose Park.
