Biography

This little person suffered from ileocolitis, which is the most common type of Crohn's disease. It causes inflammation in the end of the small intestine and in the colon.

Her father, Edward Kenneth Golding, was born 5 October 1865 at Belvidere, South Australia. He married Florence Francis in 1894 at Broken Hill, New South Wales, where she was born on 30 June 1874. The family lists 6 boys and 5 girls born to this marriage, of which Doris May was the sixth. Her siblings listed by the family were: Arthur George born 1895; Hugh Kenneth born 1896; Edgar Garnet born 1898; Sylvia Coral born 1901; Mabel Pearl born 1904, died 1904; Alick Newman born 1907; Kathleen Florence born 1909; Leonard Edward born 1911; Nell Ivy born 1914; Donald Allen born 1916.

Florence died 13 February 1947 at Pemberton. Her husband died 5 January 1954 at Nedlands.
