The deceased had spent 33 years in Victoria before coming to Western Australia.
Sophia was the ninth of eleven children born to Stephen Wellington and Hester Andrews, who married 7 November 1825 at St. Pauls Church, Portland Square, Bristol, England. He was born on 1 August 1802 at Westbury on Trym, Gloucestershire and his wife was born 15 May 1808 at Newport, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, Their other children were: Stephen Christopher born 1828; Mary Andrews born 1830; Esther born 1831; William Andrews born 1833; Elizabeth Russell was born 1834; Sarah Anne born 1836, died 1836; Thomas Andrews born January 1838; Sarah Anne born December 1838, died 1839; Nelson born 1842; Henry Augustus born and died 1844.
Sophia arrived in Melbourne on 10 February 1863 on the ship Lincolnshire with her husband, William, a victualler. Her sister, Esther, had arrived the previous month on 15 January 1863 on the ship British Empire. The couple had five children in Ballarat before the death of William Morley on 19 January 1880 at Ballarat. Sarah married Charles William Mackintosh in 1882 in Victoria but there were no children of this marriage. Charles William Mackintosh died in 1921 in Perth (Death Registration 485/1921, Perth).
