Biography

Known as Freda.

Freda had been suffering from tuberculosis for some 12 months prior to her death. She had spent her first 8 years living in Victoria, then moved to Western Australia. At the time of her death, Freda was residing with her brother, Mr W.H. Tait. She had been living with her parents at Bayleys for the past 11 years.

Freda's other siblings were: Annie Frances born 1878; Isabella Catherine born 1879; William Henry born 1880; John Stanley born 1883; James Herbert born 1890; Isabella Catherine; John Aitken. Their parents were married on 26 December 1876 at Ballarat East, Victoria. Their father, a Scotsman, was born 23 November 1851 at Edinburgh, Midlothian. His wife was born 3 July 1856 at Ballarat, Victoria. Alice Elfreda is buried in the Presbyterian portion of the Kookynie Cemetery.
